CHROMATICS “Camera” (Deluxe)
“I Want To Be With You…But Sometimes Life Becomes Too Real…I Want To See The Things In My Heart I Know I Feel”
The opening track is a love song written from the perspective of the camera, asking to be held up to see the world through the eyes of its user. Chromatics’ dense electronics are anchored by the intimacy of Ruth Radelet’s vocals. Framed by negative space, this is pop music from the blurry hours. With the computerized voice over the phone, she softly sings, “I write a song in my head…pretend that I’m lying in your arms.” The music is minimal & bare, layered with sparse percussion. The Camera (Deluxe) CD features 25 minutes of unreleased material, featuring long time David Lynch collaborator, Dean Hurley’s reimagined “Blue Girl” fit for the Silver Screen… The synthesizer heavy club take on “Magazine” stripped of it’s guitars from Fien Troch’s HOME soundtrack..The midnight vamp of “The Taste Of Blood” & the nightmarish “House Of Dolls” will throttle your pulse. Thank you for listening.
